They also include extensive online help and a free Business Plan Template for Word (48 pages) and a complementary Guide (supplied as a 90+ topic Help file and as a 100+ page PDF file for printing).
The sales ranges quoted below are only general guidelines as even the simplest version of Exl-Plan can be used to compile high-level, strategic projections for a very substantial business.
Basic generates comprehensive, five-year projections based on annual assumptions. Aimed at all sizes of businesses needing full-year forecasts.
Free is identical to Basic except that it projects for two years instead of for five. It is freeware.
Micro & Lite both generate three-year projections (monthly for first year and quarterly thereafter) and are aimed at smaller businesses e.g. sale in the range of US$0.25m to US$2m or so. The main differences are that Micro handles a single revenue/cost stream whereas Lite handles two streams and a greater range of assumption variables.
Pro generates five-year projections (by month for first year, by quarter for the second and third years, and optionally by year thereafter) and is broadly aimed at businesses with sales in the range US$1-5 million. Handles four revenue/cost streams and accommodates more assumption variables than Lite.
Super also generates three/five-year projections and should suit larger businesses (there is no upper size limit). It handles six revenue/cost streams and more assumption variables than Pro. Contains extensive planning tools for sensitivity analysis etc.
Super Plus is identical to Super but handles ten revenue/cost streams and additional assumption variables.
Ultra is based on Super but generates projections for up to seven-year (by month for the initial three years, by quarter for the next two years, and optionally by year thereafter) and handles six revenue/cost streams. Ideal for situations where detailed projections are required beyond one year.
Ultra Plus is identical to Ultra but handles ten revenue/cost streams and additional assumption variables.
